Today we’re proud to welcome Terrell Jones to D2O as our Vice President of Business Development.
If you’ve followed football for the past two decades, you’ve already seen Terrell’s work — even if you didn’t know his name. He spent eight seasons as a strength and conditioning coach in the NFL, seven with the San Francisco 49ers and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He coached in 128 regular-season games, six playoff games, three Division Championships and an NFC Championship run, and worked side-by-side with 13 future Hall of Famers and more than 30 Pro Bowlers and All-Pros.
From the NFL, Terrell went on to become Director of Strength and Conditioning at San Jose State University, where he led programs for 16 intercollegiate athletic teams and helped guide the football program to its first bowl victory in 16 years. In 2008 he founded The TJones Group, his own sports agency, where he’s spent the last 15+ years negotiating professional contracts, endorsements and partnerships for elite athletes.
More recently, Terrell has built deep roots in the beverage and performance industries — as VP of Sports at Data Curve, Strategic Advisor at Scout Sync, Head of Strategic Sports Partnerships at Flexpower, and Director of Business Development at Champ Beverages, with prior leadership at Kind Energy and Phenoh Beverages. He also volunteers his time with the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project.
What he’ll do at D2O
In his role as VP of Business Development, Terrell will lead three things for us:
• Retail growth — getting D2O onto the right shelves, in the right stores, with the right partners.
• Brand partnerships — building relationships with the teams, gyms, hotels and venues where D2O belongs.
• D2O Champions — expanding our athlete program with the kind of names and stories that match the brand.
In Terrell’s words
“D2O isn’t just selling water — it’s telling a story the beverage aisle has been missing. The detox science is real, the cans are right for where the category is going, and the brand is unapologetically ours. After two decades in performance and partnerships, I know a winning team when I see one. I’m here to help D2O get into more hands, more homes and more locker rooms.”
